Although the cost of attending UW-Madison will vary among all students, the university bases its financial aid awards on these budgets. These are estimated figures are subject to change when tuition and fee rates are approved for 2015-16.

These figures represent the most recent tuition increases approved by the UW System Board of Regents on April 10.
Residency for tuition purposes is determined by the residence examiner in the Office of the Registrar.
*There is an additional fee of $275 for New Freshmen.
*There is an additional fee of $200 for New Transfer students.
*Undergraduate business school tuition for Wisconsin residents and non-residents is an additional $1,000.
*Undergraduate business school tuition for Minnesota residents is an additional $1,500.
*Undergraduate engineering school tuition is an additional $1,400 for Wisconsin residents and non-residents.
*There is no additional tuition charge for undergraduate engineering school for Minnesota residents.
